(CNN) — The soup can looks familiar in an unfamiliar way, but the name at the bottom of the image is unmistakable: Andy Warhol.

The Andy Warhol Museum announced Thursday the discovery of new works by the pop artist, works which had been trapped on floppy disks for close to 30 years.

They were made on an Amiga computer in 1985 and were unlocked by the Carnegie Mellon University Computer Club and its Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry, according to a statement from the museum.

“Warhol saw no limits to his art practice. These computer-generated images underscore his spirit of experimentation and his willingness to embrace new media — qualities which, in many ways, defined his practice from the early 1960s onwards,” said Eric Shiner, The Warhol’s director.

The works were commissioned by the now-defunct Commodore International to showcase the computer’s capabilities. They include doodles and experiments with Warhol’s iconic images, like the Campbell’s soup can.

The works might have been lost forever if it had not been for Cory Arcangel, an artist who watched a YouTube clip showing Warhol promoting the release of the Amiga 1000 in 1985.

He started to poke around, eventually approaching the museum’s chief archivist to talk about the possibility of searching for the files amid The Warhol’s archives collection.

“In the images, we see a mature artist who had spent about 50 years developing a specific hand-to-eye coordination now suddenly grappling with the bizarre new sensation of a mouse in his palm held several inches from the screen,” said Matt Wrbican, the archivist.

The works have since been extracted and backed up so they can be saved, even if the floppy disks fail.

“We can only wonder how he would explore and exploit the technologies that are so ubiquitous today,” Wrbican said about Warhol.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The police chief in Connecticut’s largest city has pulled three officers off the streets after a video was posted online showing them kicking and stomping on a man they had already subdued with a stun gun.

In the video, a stun gun is heard being fired and a man falls to the ground at a park. Two officers stand over the motionless man and begin kicking him. A third officer drives up and attacks him. No complaint was filed.

Bridgeport city spokeswoman Elaine Ficarra said today that all three officers are on desk duty while authorities investigate the May 2011 encounter. Elson Morales, Joseph Lawlor and Clive Higgins are 10-year veterans of the police force. They couldn’t be reached for comment.

The video was posted on YouTube this month. It’s not clear who’s filming or who posted the video

NH Man Arrested After Police Find 35 YouTube Videos Detailing Pot Growing Business

AUBURN, N.H. (CBS) – A 40-year-old Auburn, New Hampshire man is accused of growing marijuana in his home.

Kyle Berry allegedly made 35 videos of his grow operation and published them on YouTube.

A tipster told authorities about the videos and investigators raided Berry’s apartment this week.

They found 16 marijuana plants and about one pound of loose marijuana.

Berry is charged with two felonies of illegal manufacture of a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.

In most of the videos Berry cannot be seen, but his reflection can be made out in one of the shots, police said. He also allegedly used his initials in his YouTube channel name “beginnergrowerKTB1.”

“He’s not the brightest person in the world,” said Rockingham County Sheriff Michael Downing. “There’s indications that he was selling the product. This isn’t the first grow he’s had.”

Berry was bailed out of jail by his mother but there was no sign of him at his basement apartment.

The neighbor upstairs says he never saw or smelled anything suspicious.

“I don’t know anything about it,” said neighbor Wayne Haggie. “I’ve known him for seven years.”

In the videos, the narrator proudly shows off the equipment, lights and air filters. He also talks about the plants, the seeds he imports from the United Kingdom, and the fertilizers and chemicals used.

Investigators are testing the chemicals and depending on how hazardous they are, Berry could face more charges.

Authorities say Berry is “well-known” by law enforcement and has a lengthy criminal record which includes arrests for shoplifting and driving without a license.

According to court documents obtained by WBZ-TV, Berry told investigators he had been growing marijuana for about 8 months.
